The NSS Bureau and PG Council of Fakir Mohan University, Balasore jointly organized an inter College Blood donation camp at the New Campus of the University on 4th Oct 2012 between 10 am to 5:30 pm. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. K. B. Das discussed the benefits of blood donation and motivated the student volunteers for this noble act by inaugurating this camp. Amongst the other members of the University the Chairman PG Council Prof. BM Otta, NSS Program Coordinator Dr. RB Panda, DPO Balasore Shri Satyamaya Acharya, Registrar Dr. Trilochan Mishra, COE Dr. P. Biswal, COF Dr. B Dash, Prof NC Dash, Prof SS Acharya, Dr. S Pradhan, Dr. B. Mitra, Dr. S. Dash and all other staff and faculty members have visited the camp and encouraged the donors. Around 500 volunteers from the University and various colleges of Bhadrak and Balasore have participated in this camp. 131 units of blood have been collected during this camp, between 10am to 5:30 pm and as many as 35 registered volunteers had to return back without donation due to time constraint.The Program Officers of both the units of the PG Council, FMU express their sincere thanks to all the blood donors, students volunteers and organizers/supporters for making the camp a grand success.
